I watched the game in the pub i work at... i didn't see Moore's hit, but apparently Moore hit Naslund with a cheap blindside shot & the ref's didn't call a penalty.
The game was a complete sham... both teams vying for first place in the league and the final score had a 7 goal spread!:eek: (9 to 2, colorado over vancouver... fuckers)
It ended up being full of fights and bullshit, completely unsportsmanlike conduct.
Anyways, 'tuzzi went after Moore from behind... cheap blind shot to the temple on the right side of his head. I think Moore was out right then. Todd followed through & went down on top of Moore. Moore hit the ice face first... followed by Todd (who's a good 6'4" 260ish lbs), then another colorado avalanche player, then another vancouver canuck too i think... so knocked out, face into the ice, followed by a 1000lb stack. :eek:
People in the pub (very few, monday night, and the pub put on a bus trip to the game so a LOT of customers/staff went) were guessing Bertuzzi would see at least a 5 game suspension... but apparently on the late night news they were saying that 10 is likely the minimum & he'll be lucky to escape without criminal charges.
It's hard to say where to draw the line... as had he been a-ok, 'tuzzi woulda likely just served a penalty or game suspension and all would be fine. but since he's hurt, bad, should it make a difference - i dunno. tough call. thoughts?
oh, & fyi, i'm not a big hockey/team sports fan - this is the most hockey (80% of one game) i've watched in the last 4 years. :p
