This bestseller shows that it's not only the Chinese (http://www.volksforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=32485) trucks that are dangereous. Another popular pickup, the Isuzu D-Max, only did slightly better than the Nissan.

UK's best-selling 4x4 pick-up truck recalled over 'life-threatening' safety flaws

Britain's top-selling 4x4 pick-up truck is being recalled after being found to put occupants at a high risk of fatal injury in an accident.

Crash tests showed that Nissan's Navara fails to protect the driver and passenger sufficiently to prevent life-threatening injuries in a head-on collision.

Nissan has sold more than 28,000 Navaras in the UK since its launch in 2005 and the rugged off-roader has become popular with safety-conscious families seeking an alternative to conventional 4x4 models.

But the 40mph frontal impact test revealed that the passenger compartment became "unstable", leaving the front-seat passenger at a "high risk of life-threatening injury" to the neck.

Because they started to crash test Pickups in 2008, they haven't crashed these cars before.
