Old news can still be interesting news, especially when one haven't heard of it until now. Even though this was originally posted back in december '07, I havent heard of the Santana 4000 until now. I stumbled across it on a Chinese cars website. Anyne know more about it (yeah, I'm thinking of phaeton here)

So, what do you think of the design? It is a bit hard to make out the details, but to me it looks a whole lot like the current Passat 3C generation (VW Magotan in China), but with a clear resemblance to the BMW E65 in the rear end. At the same time, I cant help but think that the images above look a whole lot like the VW Lavida that will be sold in China only, for now at least.

My friend owns this one, it's about half a year old and completely loaded with stuff. One big problem for western people if they want to drive a car in China. You have to get your chinese drivers licence and for that you need to speak and read chinese.

That is pretty much identical to the Skoda Superb that we know here in Europe.
