Prices Announced For Caddy Van And MPVs Ahead Of November Launch

Prices for the new Caddy (http://www.volkswagen-vans.co.uk/caddy/) and Caddy Maxi (http://www.volkswagen-vans.co.uk/caddy-maxi/) have been announced. They start at £12,100 excluding VAT for the 1.6-litre 75 PS TDI Caddy van while the Caddy Maxi starts at £14,050 excluding VAT for the entry-level model equipped with a 1.6-litre 102 PS TDI engine.

Featuring fresh styling and a range of new engines as well as upgraded materials and a new choice of comfort, convenience and safety options, the new Caddy and Caddy Maxi promise to be the most economical and refined iterations of the popular range yet.

Standard equipment across the Caddy range includes Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP), ABS Anti-lock Braking System, Traction Control System (TCS), automatic hazard lights activation under emergency braking, a driver’s airbag, speed sensitive power steering, remote central locking and a CD stereo with AUX-in socket.

Adopting the new Volkswagen family look with a mix of clean, horizontal lines that already features on the Transporter (http://www.volkswagen-vans.co.uk/transporter/), the new Caddy range represents strong value for money over the outgoing models with five versions available from launch. These comprise the new Caddy C20 and C20+ (enhanced payload) vans, the Caddy Maxi van, the Caddy Maxi window van and the Caddy Maxi MPV – formerly known as the Life.

A new range of refined and efficient common rail TDI engines further underline the advances made in the new Caddy. A pair of 1.6-litre TDI engines developing 75 PS or 102 PS is joined by a 2.0-litre TDI engine offered in 110 PS and 140 PS guises.

There will be two Caddy BlueMotion Technology models. These use a stop/start system and automatic battery regeneration during braking, aerodynamic wheel arch spoilers, low rolling resistance tyres and also have hill hold assist and cruise control as standard. The 102 PS model has the lowest CO2 figure of the range at 134 g/km, with a combined cycle figure of 55.4 mpg, to give a potential range of up to 735 miles.

For the first time the Caddy can be specified with the latest generation seven-speed DSG gearbox as well as 4MOTION four-wheel drive on selected models.

Ordering for the new vehicles will begin on 27 September with first customer deliveries in November.
