Santana 4000 from SAIC-VW
Old news can still be interesting news, especially when one haven't heard of it until now. Even though this was originally posted back in december '07, I havent heard of the Santana 4000 until now. I stumbled across it on a Chinese cars website. Anyne know more about it (yeah, I'm thinking of phaeton here)
http://www.chinacartimes.com/2007/1...up-and-go-home/ So, what do you think of the design? It is a bit hard to make out the details, but to me it looks a whole lot like the current Passat 3C generation (VW Magotan in China), but with a clear resemblance to the BMW E65 in the rear end. At the same time, I cant help but think that the images above look a whole lot like the VW Lavida that will be sold in China only, for now at least. |

I like this one better than the last Chinese 3B version:
My friend owns this one, it's about half a year old and completely loaded with stuff. One big problem for western people if they want to drive a car in China. You have to get your chinese drivers licence and for that you need to speak and read chinese. |

That is pretty much identical to the Skoda Superb that we know here in Europe. |
