it's called Ford Versailles in Brazil...in Argentina Ford Galaxy...Ford produced in VW plant...

There was a wagon too, called Ford Royale...

It was built when Autolatina existed, it's a joint-venture VW/Ford in the final 80's and mid 90's, when it finished...

wow, nice info. never seen it before. you guys got so many cars on that continent the rest of the world has never seen. (that's another reason why you guys are a great addition to the forums ;) )

As said, it was a product of the Autolatina cooperation between VW and Ford. Ford got remodeled Santanas, VW got remodeled Fords (front part of the car was similar to our Escort Mk4)

and Based on Escort MK4 we have LOGUS and POINTER

That curvy dashboard is definitively Ford in that model before the reestyling...

When I was in Sao Paulo Motorshow some time ago, there was a Sharan VR6 exposed... And w-12 too, the first one, yellow panit.
