Thanks, the bonnet was a quick fix because the paint was so bad. Sprayed it Matt black like the old 70s muscle cars but I might keep it like that, even when I go for a full respray.

when you have a carat, that means you have have the biggest load of extra's you can imagine yourself, although there wasn't that much available in the eighties. It comes standard with power windows (elektriska fönsterhissar), and the rest of the luxury I don't know....

finally I want to add some pics of my former mk2 jetta, which I wrecked in Norway, the road up into the Jotunheimen , some Oslo bitch drove right into it..

ok, as usual, I'm a bit slow with this, nevertheless a pic of my mkII gti... the fact that it's still more or less original is for two reasons; I like the original retro look and I'm slightly thechnologically challenged

@Housey; what do mean by Norwegian roads being bad? My dad gave me my first rally lessons on Norwegian roads. Or actually, that does mean they're bad...

The Carat had almost everything! Power windows, locks, mirrors, steering, heated seats, MFA, cruise control and more. I believe leather was about the only thing optional on those. Of course, very few Carats were sold in Europe.

We've wrecked a Civic over there once, actually the only accidents involving cars being wrecked I was in were in Norway, maybe that says something about the roads over there.

But I like the country very much, been there about 15 times on holiday, of which 2 ended in an accident....but nevertheless were much fun.

My parents live in Sweden so I come very often in Scandinavia.

yep, I remember that there was one nice highway rumming up to the town because of the olympics, and after that we ran out of tarmac, as I said. And do they still have that hideous troll in the city centre?
but before we leave the topic, I like your mkII. But what's the colour? the pics are pretty dark.
