Default Beige MK2 from Germany

Hey Guys,

the last time I was only reading the projects the other members. But I just thought that I should start an own topic to show you my MK2.

I bought the Golf about 2 Years ago and I am always trying to improve it. I think the appearance is almost perfect, but there is still a small list with some accessories I want to buy.

At the moment the Golf is sneaking around with an 1.3 liter NZ-engine. The only good thing about that engine: I have to drive 400km every week and provided that I drive it consumse about 8 Liter on 100 km. When I saved enough money I want to change my engine, but I still have no idea what kind of engine it will be.

But pictures say more than 1000 words.

The Golf is my daily driver.
My current restoration project is an Ford Taunus Coupe GXL from 1971.

What do you think about my cars?
Suggestions for improvement?

Greetings from Germany,
Steffen.

Thanks man.
But it has its weaknesses. The Paintwork for example is not perfect everywhere and the frame of the front window begins to rust.
As a student (Automotive Engineering in Arnhem NL) I don't have that much money to get a new paintwork, but the important parts like the window frame gets repainted in februar.

Not yet.
I'm currently opening an new Paypal-Account so I can order parts easier from the Netherlands. It's very annoying when you have to ask every seller for his IBAN and BIC.

There will be only a few small changes in the next time. Adding some rare or retro parts, lowering it again (had to lift the car for the TÜV), changing to the summer ATS rims,...

Are you going to the 11th VW-Speed Midwintermeeting in Deurningen on the 24th februar?

Currently I am searching for a roof rack, chrome windshield wipers, a new gear knob, crosshair headlights and some other chrome parts.

And I am searching for another car. I would prefer an Scirocco mk1 or mk2, Golf mk1 or Caddy mk1. The Ford is almost finished so I need a new project.

@F&IVR6: I'm just living in the Netherlands, because I'm studying there. My Garage and stuff is in Germany and I am also from Germany.

@renshoff: Thanks! Haha That's right! I'm almost everyday at the HAN and always with the Golf.

That's not that far away from Arnhem.
And the best: You can visit RD-Classics in Emmerich am Rhein whenever you want!
