Until I saw the pic of the engine, I was thinking "did you find that in a museum?". Damn, it looks good!

Looking GooD

(with a capital D)

@Airtime: Plans? I hope he's quite finished with it: It looks brandnew, everything done to it in this state won't make it better.

(lowerring and rimms are offcourse the obvious, but hey: it's a caddy: it should at least look like it could haul some tons-o-equipment!)

Sorry for the absence, guys. I've just been having too much fun driving it to be on the puter much. I can't stop grinning and it's starting to hurt.
It's a totally restored truck (took 15 years - hasn't been on the road since 1991) and I'm the first Canadain registered owner. It's got a 1.6TD, 5-speed and Jetta interior with extra gauges. It'll get some engine mods (turbo downpipe, intercooler, TT exhaust, GTD injectors, oil cooler and a G60 Cast valve cover) and I'll probably drop it some and go for some oldskool wheels when I find just the right ones. I'll also be adding newer Mk3 door handles, smoked corner lights and euro headlights with "city lights" (all here new in boxes).

This is my Rabbit,i own it since 1993. It has a tuned GTI Engine in it. I`m pretty sure this would be the only one here in Germany... :D

Thank you! The Truck is coming from Maryland and i bought it from an American Gi here in Germany long ago. It cane with Aircondition and a light grey vinyl interior...
What year is yours? Mine is a 1982.
Can you get me a rear bumper like you have?

Dubdoc
16-04-2006, 20:19
Wow, air conditioning. I miss that in mine and would like to add it. Mine is a 1981 turbodiesel 5-speed with a Jetta/GTI interior.
My bumper is a stock piece and I may know where to get one.

Would you interested in talking to someone in Germany for me?

Nice, didn't know that Caddy's have Scirocco (our it looks a lot like it) front end in the states.

I shouldn't do the Mk3 doorhandles I think. But like the looks already, and am curious how it will be with rims and all!

The square front end is an early (US) Caddy stock front end. Remember, my truck is a 1981. They weren't made in Germany till 84-85, I think. My grill is a Rabbit one, but close to stock.

I don't get it:
This front is a stock USA 'rabbit' or A1 front isn't it?

like this GTI @ TechnoClassica Essen 2006:
