View Full Version : Knight Rider the movie?
Knight Rider: The Movie, anyone? Oh yes! It’s back in play. With Hollywood’s remake cow ever on the lookout for old TV shows to churn through its production stomach, it was inevitable that this title would crop back up.
After years in development and any number of different versions planned (including by former series star David “The Hoff” Hasselhoff, the rights have been picked up by The Weinstein Company from creator Glen A Larson.
For anyone too young to remember the original (there are DVDs out, people, what’s taking you so long!) the show featured The Hoff as Michael Long, a cop shot down in the line of duty. He’s cared for by millionaire Michael Knight, who gives him a completely new face and renames the bloke after himself. The newly revitalised Michael Knight is partnered up with a cynical, talking turbo-powered bullet-proof car called KITT. Together this unlikely pair solves crimes and offers The Hoff many, many chances to chat up pretty ladies and show his disturbing chest hair.
Hasselhoff mostly tends to make memorable cameos these days – he cropped up in Dodgeball and was hilarious spoofing himself in SpongeBob SquarePants. Following this summer’s Adam Sandler movie Click, surely there’s wisdom in getting him involved with Knight Rider. Even if it’s just the grouchy older character who mentors our hero? Come one Weinsteins: justice for The Hoff!

Als ik iets cool vind is t de Knight rider, al die andere series (A-team, Mac-Gyver, Airwolf) haalden t bij lange na niet bij the Knight Rider...
soms duw ik wel eens op de aansteker knop maar die super-pursuit mode wil maar niet lukken :D

Oh, om die van mastermovies heb ik me al zovaak kapot gelachen! Sinds ik hem voor het eerst zag, roep ik bij alles ; naah, dan toh nie, klootviool! zelfs op school...:D
Maar Knightrider is idd de bomb, maar er is toch al en keer 'the movie' uitgekomen? met een ongelovelijk vern*ukte amerikaan...Weet alleen niet maar wie wat of waar...Zal wel even zoeken!

ja hoe ging dat eigenlijk verder? wat ik weet dat zijn broer (saint john geloof ik) daar was ie stad en land voor aan het afzoeken...maar heb het einde van de serie nooit gezien...maar ging hij dood en zijn broer nam de toko over?

Als ik me goed kan herinneren:
Hij lag zelf op sterven. Op dat moment komt zun broer doodleuk binnenlopen.
En als ik me niet vergis nam zun broer alles over, dus ook de deal die hij met Archangel had.
Misschien moet ik toch al die afleveringen maar es halen op DVD. Staat vaak genoeg te koop voor weinig.

After 'Airwolf' was dropped by CBS after three seasons, the rights to the series were bought by another company, Atlantis.
The original cast were either written out or killed off (Jan Michael Vincent is the only original member actually seen), at the same time the location of Hawke's Missing In Action brother St. John was finally found. With a new cast, lead by St. John, the series was filmed in Canada for a very low budget.
ALL footage of Airwolf, and many of the other aircraft, was recycled from footage from the original three seasons, and quite often the stories had feel that they'd simply been written around what footage was to be re-used that episode.
Although technically a continuation of the first three seasons, other than the inclusion of Airwolf itself and St. John, the series often felt like a completely different entity, with little connection or feel to the original series.
This series is (understandably) disliked by 99% of fans. (edit)

Dat klopt, ook die ging dood. Logisch eigenlijk, kan me voorstellen dat ze er niet meer aan mee wilde werken. Die serie was UBER totdat die broer terugkwam.
