picking 'er up tuesday. :D

tron'll be off the road this summer for repairs/modifications, & so long as i can afford 'er - this'll be the cheap fuel dd.

took 'er for a spin, smoothe.. slow, but smoothe. brand new clutch too. just needs a windshield and some tlc/cleaning to be driveable.

pickin' 'er up fairly inexpensively. as you can see, no major rust.. of course there is some though. a bit more on the edges of the fenders under the hood too - but it's by no means falling apart.

now if my sprained ankle would just heal faster i could git back to work and keep 'em both! :P

Dunno. Not buyin at the moment, dunno what the shippin will cost but id pay
about the same as a cleaned-up dirty-ass euro mk1 I think. Only that shipping will make it more expensive.

makes sense - but, what're they worth over there?

obviously w/o more pics/video/sound/info you can't make a proper appraisal - but based on what i/we know - what would this car be worth there?

btw, 208k kms on the odo.

U know what it is with engines: Who The Fuck Cares How Much It's Got On the Clocks?

It's more impo how the body is.. Engine's can be swapped.. chassis can't (the easily)

I've heard that shipping a car from North America to Europe is in the 1000 Euro range.

that's about right - a little more if it's a whole container, a little less if you can share one with someone.

time to shower & go get the cash and "pick it up"... might leave it where it sits for a couple days while i get some things done on the other car before swapping insurance... or i might drive it home in darkness when no one's looking. :D
