Damn... :woowoo:
He has some great skills! Hope I can do stuff like that in a few months (when I wil have time enough to practice welding...).
Forgot to talk English (again!)... He has some great skills, but i'm not digging the looks of his project (yet)...
I'm quitte sure the front will look nice -> wenn the ducktail is on installed. I just don't understand why he is not using a Golf Mk1 frontend, just weld that in and start to modify it.
Since the title of this topic says: Mk1 Wagon
I was thinking about a "strechted" Golf Mk1 or rebuild Jetta Coupe with Golf Mk1 rearend. So I'm hoping he will install a Golf Mk1 rearhatch
@ Melly: you indeed have trouble with the section system...
yeh me neither (about the front end) seems simpeler then all the fiberwork and the rest of the car is all metal too... then again.. mk1 round headlight fronts aren't a dime-a-dozen in the US either
well it started as a Fox
It's still a Fox, and as such, is the VW Parati from Brasil which was sold as the VW Fox in USA/Canada. The Fox sedan is the VW Voyage from Brasil, they are both variations of the VW Gol
(I may have mixed the Brasilian names)

Hey guys just thought I would say hi. This is my car. I am still working on it everyday. i would have liked to do the front end in metal too. (still might) as for fitting a mk1 metal front end ? it wasn't even close to fitting.
I have been welding a bit too, today. It is really hard to get it the way I exactly want it to be (check my project -> link is in my signature). I respect you work a lot.
But I was thinking, you are spending so much energy on that car, why not weld in a Golf mk1 front end (and where I was talking about, rear end aswell ;) )?
Anyhow, keep us updated and have fun building your ride!
Nice project, takes a lot of imagination jus to come up with that! Great skills, and the colour's just fine like that

won't fit, fox is really something else as a mk1, comes closer to a passat than a golf..

Ik like the Fox! Do they share common VW parts with the jetta/rabbit or is it a real different car? Front looks audi80-like, espacially in the dark.
When i see the dropped 4-door Fox, I want to have one :)

the share the motor with jetta/rabbit. most of the running gear is more like early audi. the motor is longitudinal mounted
i like how (probably) the cheapest car in that line-up is easily the best looking.

That's it.
VWB made and sold VW Fox (Voyage in Brazil) and Fox Wagon (Parati here).
My father have a Parati CL 92', but it's not poor like his Fox...
120.000km. It's like a brand new. I love that Volks (with Ford/Renault powertrain).

Just to complete the info, Volks Parati (the origin of the name is a city and a beach that have the same name) was only made in this generation as 3 door station. The 5 door version came in 97' in the AB9 generation, that started at 96'.
Sorry, i am not a great english speaker (writer here) but i think that I transmited well the information.
