1958 Deluxe Microbus - $49,000 OBO
Your'e In Luck. Here is your opportunity to buy the 1st Place Winner at the June 13th VW Classic Show in Irvine CA, reported to be he greatest VW Show on Earth
This Bus is perfect in all respects and was restored regardles of expense. the entire bus was restored, Engine, Transmission, Brakes, and Suspension. The interior is an absolute authentic replica of the original bus. The lower light colored vinyl was especially heat seamed like the original. It has a Hartz cloth sliding roof and original headliner. The interior was furnished by Douglas Denlinger. The entire bus was stripped to bare metal and prepared and finished to six coats of PPG
Concept paint finish. The colors are Sealing Wax Red and Mahogany. Sealing Wax color is very difficult to reproduce, therefore we covered the headlight buckets which had the original paint and matched the final paint to the headlight buckets. All of the bright work aluminum and chrome is original except for the front logo and front door handles. It has all been very carefully restored.
The bus drives and feels like a new one. I should know, as I have my original 1958 23 Window Bus that I bought off the ship in Houston in 1958. It is fully restored and that's the reason I'm selling this one. I don't need two of them.
Come to Colorado this Summer and look at this bus, then drive it home,or I can make shipping arrangments for you
