Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (http://www.volkswagen-vans.co.uk/) is sponsoring the action and adventure programmes on three Discovery Network channels for 12 months starting from Monday 31 May.

The sponsorship includes short Volkswagen adverts at the start and end of each section of the programmes, such as ‘Bear Grylls: Born Survivor’, ‘Deadliest Catch’ and ‘Storm Chasers’ on the Discovery Channel, plus others on Animal Planet, Quest, Shed and Dmax channels.

The imaginative adverts feature a plumber, vet and gardener arriving in their Volkswagen Caddy (http://www.volkswagen-vans.co.uk/caddy/), Transporter (http://www.volkswagen-vans.co.uk/transporter/) and Crafter (http://www.volkswagen-vans.co.uk/transporter/) vans, to discover their next job is more challenging than normal, and have to tackle unusually adventurous situations such as a waterfall, a jungle or even a dinosaur.* The strapline, ‘Every job’s an adventure’ is announced by the actor Ray Winstone who, in common with Volkswagen’s radio adverts, then finishes by saying, ‘Let’s Go To Work’.

‘We are really pleased to be in partnership with Discovery, and have developed this TV campaign to be engaging, relevant and a bit of fun,’ said David George, Head of Marketing, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
