Water/Methanol injection/cooler?

And what underblock and head are you using? Just out of curiosity.
Due to the dark paint the camshaftcover seem to be one of a 20vt motor.

But I actually think its a cross-flow head.

Anyhow, tell us more!

It's a 2.0 ABA turbo. It's a T3 super 60 with ViPec v44 management, and yes that is an air/water intercooler.

here's a better shot

Nice, I'm still in the first stage of the rebuild of my mk2 Golf. Gathering information and collecting parts, tools and money.

Could you motivate yourt choice for the ViPEC MMS instead of (for example):
DTA
Megasquirt
Pectel
MOTEC
AEM
EFI Technology

Thanks a lot for your reply. And did you programmed the MMS yourself?

I was recommended to a tuner, who is one of the best in the states, he used to deal in autronic, but started dealing with vipec, and pectel (which was way more than the car could utilize)

he was telling me that the developer of vipec, is a former engineer from autronic, and he essentially created a product that is leaps beyond the autronic.

what sold me on the vipec other than recommendation, was the ability to have staged boost, traction control (with added mk3 rear wheel speed sensors), and launch control.

i don't have those options programmed yet, but I will this coming winter.

I'll let you know next week...the standalone is done, and it's making good power. I'm picking it up just in time for H2O.
