how do I understand the scirocco engine is KR or PL ?

hi guys last week i saw 86 scirocco 16v.....is it KR or PL ? how can i get it? i know the Vin number......is there a website to help me?

A PL has 2 computers and a KR only 1.

a kr is non electronic injected, no electric wires at the injectors. the fuel lines go from the injectors to the distribitor on the airbox.
