Cool
I thought about a dash from a 1300 in a mk2... just for fun. The steering wheel from a 1300 fits in a Golf <88

Looks really good! Is this Stijn?
Wow, that certainly is different!

Only the steering wheel from 74-up fits, I tried fitting the GTI wheel from an 83 in a 68 Bug, and it doesnt fit there.
Those are pretty nice seats, like the red!

Also a way to stiffen up your car. Not sure I like it yet. Looks to me the dash is up too high/too small because now you're looking in a huge void. But I do kinda dig the view from the outside through the front windshield though.
And Rene is afraid that his old-style MK1 dash wouldn't fit in his Blue/Brown machine..............................duhhhhhhhhhh :p :p :p :p
Grtz................ LRR

Make some airholes in the dash.
and how do we blow the windows? (for the dutch: APK afkeurpunt toch?)
cool idea, that's for sure...
thare's a "gleuf" in the metal here

i think that`s for a mono speaker :)
when you have an APK, you can put a universal blower on your dash...
it doesn`t matter HOW you blow the windows... :)
no silly, he was talking about the envelope-like slot above the right windscreenwiper axle
My bad, now I see it. It's something with envelopes... I just don't want to see them. :p

Is it the same golf as the first post??
IMHO there's a beetle dash in the last pictures (one counter in the middle), and on the first pictures you see an early KG dash.
Can't imagine that the owner rebuild the KG dah into a beetle dash??
the first one is def american.. now i know americans love german plates, but i don't think it's the same one.. fooled me too for a sec..
ive seen the beetle dash mk1 on technoclassica 2 years back,it is a german.
Now this is a wicked mod I love it :D

He had it for sale in 2011, but i'm not sure if it ever sold. Paul, you seem to know him.. Does he still have it?
That's my friend Jay's Mk1 in Philly, it's been on his back burner lately due to him building this.

He's an engineer, you should see the exhaust/turbo manifold :screwy:
He since sold his beetle and the E30 but is saving the Mk1 for a project to build together with his son.
How old is his son, Cause i could use an update :)
Btw. send him to this thread...
