View Full Version : the Jetta name will return to europe
VW won´t use the Bora name for the Mk. V in Europe, so the Jetta returns in August 2006.
There will also be a Jetta Variant version coming in 2006:

VW will revive another classic nameplate at this year´s Frankfurt auto show in September: the GTD. The Golf (and the Jetta later on, too) GTD will feature a 2l 16V TDI with 170hp.

Very coolz! BUT: Jetta refers to oldskool round here :) Works confusing in the beginning I think!
GTD engine-specs sound very hot!!
So: oldschool rocks :D
Great news! http://forum.vwaudi-club.no/images/smilies/bowdown.gif
Return of the Jetta, I knew it. F#ck Golf sedan!
Step-in model in the U.S.: $18.000. That's a bargain!
While the Jetta name will return to Europe, the newbie is going to be named Bora in Mexico.

This ^ explains the story MLA tells us in HIS (http://www.volksforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8717) topic!!
With the detail that in some where from german to Colorado they are suppose to replace the logo ‘Bora’ for ‘Jetta” and apparently they forgot that. I probably will be the only one to own a Bora in USA. Please read my other post, about the speakers, I’m a little disappointed but the dealer is already taken care.
Thanks again
So he probably doesn't have the one and only Bora in the US!

It certainly does, and that makes me think that the Jetta 4 is still going to be produced in Mexico for a few more years, and still carry the Jetta name there.
yeh that's true, the mk4 will stay till the end of 2006 i heard, but still the northern american cars should be called Jetta.
