Got the engine bay painted today, and man it sure did turn out red! :cool: The contrasting red color to the matte black was just as I hoped for. Now it's time for some black details, and putting the engine back in.

Showin' of a couple of more pics if you're interested. Got some detailing work done to the master cylinder, and polished the latch mechanism and mounted it. Things are lookin' better than they did before... ;)

Finally got the engine back in the car! Hooked everything back togheter (...sounds easy doesen't it? ;) ) Had some trouble with the igintion and a couple of small water and oil leaks but no big deal. So now it's running and the car is ready for it's first indoor car show this weekend!

This weekend it is a BIG motorshow here in Norway, "Motorfestivalen".
AND.. "Ruffrod".. is at the show ;)

There actually is, Jaap. He has sold this black cabby and is going to build a new one.

No. that one is being built by some other guys. They originally bought an Einser fitted with a Reiger GTO kit, but when they started to look into that car they found that it was very rusty. They then found a better Golf to fit the GTO kit onto, and is converting the GTO to rear wheel drive. That's what you see in this pic.

yeh read about the project and saw some familiar names onthere.. i thought they were the same guys
