you were working on a mk2 that had some frankenstein offside liscenseplate recess in the rear,... ever finished that?

oh yeah that car, i did then i took it apart again. its nwo got a blower on teh vr and other shit. its about to get a full respray w/ some other custom body shit..... ill dig up some pics.

340hp 520ft tq diesel truck. 35" tall tires, its 23' long and it weighs 7850lbs! i munched it up over the winter so i have it at the body shop i work at fixing the body dmage (not much relay) and its geting a full custom paint job (if i can shit the mony for paint) being this thign is so large its a rea pia to work on. iv broken 3 floor jacks trying to change tires on it!.... but its damn nice to drive.

that's a big fucker... with that weight you couldn't even drive it here without a bigrig liscense

yeah its a monster. im looking to put a good 2-3" more lift on it (has 6" now) and go up to a 37-39" tire. also swap out teh IFS to a dana-60 and add a tractor style hydrolic assisted steering system to it. as its so heavy i cant trun teh wheels shwen sitting still right now. and thats realy no good hwen trying to move a trialer or something. i drove it 2800 miles just last week. went form denver to los angelis and back. used 220gals of fuel!...

That's a nice hunk of metal! Still madly in love with that big bad American stuff. Used to drive an 82 Bronco back in the days I lived in FL, 38" tyres and a 460ci :)
Big-ass diesel rocks though, bet you could squeeze some more torque out of that baby, too!

yeah the motor is basicly stock. only has a intake on it thats it. w/ just a chip ther are guys laying down 500hp and 800ft tq. a shop near my house has a twin turbo kit that puts down 800hp and 1400ft tq. i don tneed any more power for now. im happy as is. so far i can tow a car up a 7% incline at 80mph w/ out down shifting! maybe after all my cars are running ill play w/ the truck. mostly i wnat it to be bullet proof.

iv also got one of these i need to get back to working on this summer..... 1972 fj-40 w/ a chevy 350 conversion.




i bought it w/ blwon 350 that ran on carbs. i have a chevy throtel body injecton to put on it. and i am debating ditching the factory toyota 3spd manual tranny for a chevy automatic.

For this I would love to live in the States. The big pickup, converted to liters fuel and distance in km it would do 1:5 damn that car drinks as hell. You are a lot better of with the V10 TDI or V12 TDI...
