CrankWork - Canada

hey crew, I finally decided to start posting here, been lurking for quite a while now.
I'm from Toronto, Canada and I drive Mk2 GTi G60. Pix will be posted ltr on tonite, for now, I'll just post a pic proving that Tjaap actually does have one car that runs!

Marcski 13-06-2008 17:24

CrankWork 14-06-2008 03:14

Alberto 14-06-2008 05:14

Marcski 14-06-2008 06:31

CrankWork 14-06-2008 14:57

and here... not much done to it yet. I got it running just last week! threw in a set of patec coilovers right away and installed control arm/sway bar poly bushings. oh the stiffness! :D

that mk4 with a wing is an real racecar, belongs to European Speed Sport. local vw tuners.

phaeton 14-06-2008 22:57

Cool ride and welcome to Volksforum Oleg :D

Whats the story on the black Jetta in the background ?

CrankWork 18-06-2008 01:15

jetta is actually blue lol its one of those weird mk4 colors. anyways, its a racecar, belongs to a shop next door - European Speed Sport. local dub tuners. They always hook me up with misc shizz my car's missing. :D

phaeton 18-06-2008 09:29

Cool :D

Tjaap 06-07-2008 14:14

i like the 5spokes mate.. period correct as you mentioned

Marcski 06-07-2008 14:33

yup, nice and simple

CrankWork 06-07-2008 14:41

thnx guys, those wheels r my temp wheels - got em from my friend's dad lol
now i gotta kick this friend's arse to get my bbs painted already!!!! :D

Tjaap 06-07-2008 14:43

what are they? AR or something?

CrankWork 06-07-2008 14:52

lol
it would be a safe bet to say they r! :)
what do u think about polishing those spokes or painting whole wheel black?

CrankWork 16-10-2008 01:48

up.date.

well...i can't be arsed makin my own project thread in mk2 forums, so here's a quick update:

Installed bbm lysholm kit and cleaned up the engine bay a bit by removing charcoal canister vac lines octopus! Just past the break in period on the charger. Still got a stock pulley on it, running with an autothority chip and a 3.5 bar fpr. I'm quite impressed with the charger's performance; pulls harder than my old g-lader with a 68mm pulley!!!! Tbh, it did have a cracked silencer box and all kinds of leaks, so, it's no surprise :D

Cheers,

Oleg.

Tjaap 31-01-2009 22:22

altho, I finally painted my summer wheels. 15x8 RMs painted aviator grey. That moroso valve cover is not quite finished yet - I'm going to polish the fins then clearcoat.

cheers,

oleg.

p.s. oh btw, 18psi pulley and a 42lb injector chip is in the mail

CrankWork 14-11-2009 14:45

I really hate winter but i can't wait to see how this thing does in the snow! :D

Tjaap 17-11-2009 20:32

Oleg, you need bigger tyres...

go rob a Jeepdealer ;)

CrankWork 10-12-2009 23:53

alrite! the snow has fallen. mmmmkayfree beater did very well on it's first mission! mk2, however, really didin't want to see any snow - as soon as the first snowflake fell on it, the heater motor stopped werking. great. more shit to fix...

and yeah, the bigger tyres would look better, but these r good enough. it's still a street machine! :D

vw_boyke_vw 11-12-2009 00:08

Do you know the part number of the right mirror of that mk3? I need that number for the VW dealer, it's for my Jetta mk3

CrankWork 11-12-2009 00:30

i could prolly find out. but whats so special bout it? plz pardon my (complete) ignorance when it comes to mk3s :D

vw_boyke_vw 11-12-2009 00:44

is it possible you wil find that out for me? Well there a text in the mirror/ glass; thing are closer than they.....
they can't find that number only of the Europe mirrow/ glass.

CrankWork 11-12-2009 05:05

oh, right... things r closer as they... :D
i'll see what i can do; too bad we just sent a perfect set to scrap :(

vw_boyke_vw 11-12-2009 18:41
