well i used to love the mk4 when it was what it was in that picture, I only rocked that stance for a few weeks then all hell broke loose and I'm now on the 5th axle(still breaking them with stock suspension...), the car currently is back on stock suspension and wheels and everything is breaking, hopefully will be trading it in for a b6 or b7 a4 to daily and just leave the fuck alone

i had the stance down perfect, i was planning on getting some smaller tires to go lower but the whole axle fiasco just ruined it

before the s4 wheels, i daily drove it like this for like 3 months, got the car stuck a few times :D







now for the truck... it's gonna get a bunch of things shaved, widened arches, smooth bay, REALLY smooth bay, 2.0 16v, dual webers, 288 cams, air suspension, i have a set of comps picked out i think i wanna run(15x8, 15x10), some recaro seats, the whole interior i'm gonna do white leather and brown suede and the outside should look a little like this

yeh those s4 wheels made that mk4 IMO :)


Hey are you going smoother than my bay?
I think the strut towers were the only thing in the bay that I would do over :)
Widened arches sounds really, really nice - might want to get your rear beam shortened too (if u are going 10's in the rear).

i'm good friends with mr whitesniff, i'm going smoother than that lol i want it to be smooth and COMPLETELY EMPTY, literally motor, tranny, that's it... wipers are going, master cylinder is gonna be moved(probably run a hot rod one) and the only thing really to come out of the firewall will be the throttle cable, i'm gonna route wires and everything in the fenders/frame rails, still gotta figure out a clean way to do the fuel line to the carbs and the plug wires but i'll worry about then when it's time to put the motor in

probably am going to shorten the beam a bit unless they don't poke way too much and i can just cover it with the arches, that will be decided whenever i get the $$ for the wheels, but i have a ton of body work to get done this summer before i even really start on all this crazy stuff lol

here's the biggest issue i get to tackle, probably gonna have to patch the entire panel from a parts truck



and here's a pic of the recaros, gonna get rid of the headrest, i like the "low back" look in the trucks




and thanks for the love on the mk4, i did really used to love that car, if i wouldn't have blown so many axles there would be more pics of it with the wheels painted kahki lol plus i was gonna hunt down some tan leather recaros and put the mirror deletes back on... if only, if only

honestly there's still plenty of time to change things lol i'm a broke ass college kid making like 8ish an hour at my uncle's beer distributor, I wish I could just drop it off down with ryan and murph but there is no way they could hook me up enough to be able to afford all the work that needs done... I'm gonna try and get as much as possible done myself and leave the real hard stuff up to them

sheit, uncle who owns a beer distributor and family that owns one of the hottest shops in the USA ATM....... life must be great :D

that's the update lol i almost bought a new floor pan this morning but i can't spare any extra loot since i gotta do some maintenance on my stupid mk4 this weekend, i'm slowly saving, gonna try to get my garage cleaned out here soon once my uncle gets back in town so i dont have to bust my ass at work to cover for him, there will be progress here shortly though i hope

LOL I am in the same situation as yourself...just took a permanent job, pay cut... looking for a home..... I know how not having extra money around can really hold ya back.. keep the faith ;)

haha, i cleaned up the mess called my garage a bit and finally got the electrical working in there so i can have music and actually work. i've got a few things i need to buy before i really get started(going to see dane cook Dec. 4th at the giant center and i've gotta buy a night club card for ski roundtop so i can get some snow boarding in this winter)

but once i get those two things taken care of i'll start saving for suspension, wheels and other crap, in the mean time i'm just gonna get everything cleaned up and ready to go. hopefully i'll have it down at ryan's in the spring so we can start working on the body work

i'm gonna have my buddy build a 5 or 6 foot work bench next to the freezer, pretty much from the freezer to where the junk ends haha(the mini fridge will go under the bench too)

here's my shitty lighting situation... gonna have to add some more :thumbup:

started gutting the interior even more, that glue shit sucks sooo much... it's still on my hands :mad:



in the next few weeks plan is to get the bench and some shelves built, have the truck up on jack stands and down to a BARE shell :cool:

if you can find a bed side that will be a snap to fix. and you'll have other things to work on. May I suggest a wire wheel for your workbench. I love mine.

i got a grinder from harbor freight this weekend and picked up a wire wheel too :cool:

there's a shitload of filler on that sidepanel :eek: ... I hope the rest of the car is in better shape, the bottem of the chassis looks quite good :thumbup:

ya, the panel is pretty much toast :mad: but the rest of the truck is completely savable

pick up a couple spotweld drill bits. If you use them drill slowly or it will plung through the weld and brake the bit. you'll see. hence the reasone why I said a couple of them :)

ya i need to get some, gotta get a hold of my buddy that might have a good bed side too :cool:

but before i buy any more tools i need to make this garage workable :D

I'm having problems with the daily so that's taking priority right now(wheel bearing is bad, axle is bad and a wheel speed sensor took a shit :mad: )

I did get the steering column out and took apart the tail lights and crap, I've got a ton of school work due this coming week so I doubt I'll be doing anything this week... When I do have time though I'm gonna get it up in the air and take apart all the suspension and drop the gas tank

i have no time, it's getting close to thanksgiving break and the end of the semester soo ya... shit load of school work

xmas break starts dec 17th so hopefully i can get a lot done over the holidays
