congrats.. i cant wait to see it in real... i hope the finished modells are with right placed C Pillar stickers.. but they told me yes...hope to see it.

I see one mistake...

It's a model of a GTI 8 valve (I don't see any 16V-badges), but there is a 16V antenna on the roof!
In those days only the 16V had such an antenna ;)

I know this for sure, because I had an 8V Fire and Ice myself and was thinking of placing an antenna on my roof too. But to keep it original, I did not do it....

Still it's a lovely model!

Most 16V-antenna-ed mk2's arent 16V's as well, so it represents the real world situation René :D

...that's true!

[and nowadays almost every car has such an antenna on the roof; VAG or non-VAG...]

..., but usual a model should be an excact copy of the original, only smaller...
again: it's still a beautiful one!

Otto makes great curbside models..i have all of them except the Golf 3..
also the green Pirelli and a white one i made myself (altough not exactly Otto)

yes.. the green Pirelli have it too..

and both Rallyes, Mk1 Cabriolet and still wait for the Corrado G60 too... and i have a Norev Mk2 red G60...its awesome too..

next year, otto plan a black Mk1 Cabriolet and a limited MK2!! cant wait to get these..

the white one is a Norev which i altered..
i also have the Rallyes,the edition one g60,the Oettinger 16s Golf 1,the french GTI 1800..and a lot of Norev /Solido golf 1 GTI's some customized,some standard
and the latest Otto Golf 4 R32..
all great models..

yes, i prefer 1:18 Modellcars... i still started these year with my collection..

2 Mk1 Cabriolets red (Otto)
2 Rallye Mk2 Golfs (Otto)
2 Fire&Ice Gti Golfs (Otto)
1 Mk2 G60 red (Norev)
1 Mk1 Pirelli Golf green (Otto)
1 Corrado G60 (Otto) still arrived in Jan.

next year Otto plan a MK1 Cabriolet in black and the Mk2 limited Golf!! i cant wait to see them...
