it's a shame... the sr20det is one heck of an engine
Finally a Nissan worth driving! :D
A customer and good friend of our distributor in Finland, a Ferrari specialist, is busy with building the same 355 engine in an Alfa 147 - in the front! Typical Finnish reaction when my eyes popped: "Well, it's quite a compact engine, we only have to do some minor adjustments to the steering rack and some other little things..." :screwy:
Viperwin, I still think it will have understeer, understeer and understeer. Suppose the radiator would go in the back?

RWD conversion ;) Progress at that moment was as far as getting the car ready for the engine and drivetrain. Ferrari V8 is not much larger and above all lighter than a 3.2 GTA 6 cilinder so I suppose cooling will stay in the front. I'll ask if there are some new details and pictures... |
Okay, but I guess most of the engine will be in front of the front axle. If you look at the RS4, same principle due to quattro not that much understeer. RWD might make the car not to behave understeered but it does make me wonder...
Anyhow, would be nice if you could post some pic's! |
rs4 has not much understeer? never seen one at the nurnbergring...we raced one with a '99 m3..his front was everywhere but in the right direction..
the old rs4 and the new one has understeer.. |
The new rs4 has a completly new structure and has almost no understeer, i drove one and i haven driven the old one...big diverence!
@ Pedaalemmer, indeed I was talking about the new model. Not the old one with the V6.
new one on the track has understeer...not as daily..but as driven on track it has understeer indeed
As much as the previous model? Anyway, I would be amazed if that 147 doesn't have understeer.
nope not as mutch.. 147 gtv has more understeer than a mk1 vr6
