In Mexico City, were done some editions of golf mk1 in years 1978 to the 1987, I have a special edition done in Mexico called Caribe or Golf PRO in year 1987, that is same platform of golf edition GT 1984, 1985, 1986 and 1987, whit motor or machine 1.8 or 1800 cc.

Im need the electric diagram of colors code of the 1987 model whit motor 1800, but I dont know, what is the model equivalent in europ and U.S.A
.

oooooh, the infamous Caribe.. i have no idea what engines came in that.

1.8 ok, but do you have a engine code? cause a 1.8 from 87 in a mk1 might be some weird frankenstein configuration. either that or maybe the same enigines that came in the cabby overhere.

As a genral rule, VW (and Audi) usually used the same colors for the same wires, no matter what car they were installed in. What this means is that a given wire is usually the same color in a Mk1 Golf as in a Mk2 golf, and as in my Audi 80.

You are not quite right here.

MK I Golfs were produced in South africa, the Carbie (also a MK I Golf) was produced in Mexico and ALL Cabriolets (from 1978 until 1992) were produced in Germany (by Karmann).
