Sinterklaas is the OG Santa.... before CocaCola re-invented him.

it's like alot of US traditions... brought to the US by more then one group of imigrants and they mixed together...
1 group celebrates Jesus on December 25th one group celebrates Saint Nicolas on december 5th.... in the US that got mixed to celebrating Jesus by letting Santa bring presents....

same with sports...

1 group wanted to play football 1 group wanted to play rugby... after a few games they decided to dress up as pussies, play rugby and call it football....

My family celebrates Dec 5th, Dec 25th and Jan 7th as we're Slovak and Russian as well as Merican

what's on the 7th? I guess we have 3kings round that timem but I think you call it different. children go round houses for candy like haloween on your side of the ocean ;)
