![]() SD1 touring car ![]() P5B coupe ![]() Metro 6R4 ![]() The real Rover died a couple of years ago, when BMW took away their baby, the New Mini :frown: |
can that metro fly?
|
I dont think the new Mini was a child of Rover, I believe it was a child of BMW all the time, developed to jump on the retro bandwagon. The very first new Minis here were registered as BMW Mini in the registration papers.

the metro 6r4!!!!one of mine all time favorites..

![]() we have in our country a car like this round driven... it has a hole in his hood where the carb out comes..... rough thing!! (sorry for my verrrrry terrible english:redface:) |

Wrong; the new Mini was already under development when BMW came in. Thats why there isn't a single original BMW part under the hood. The engine is of somekind of South-American origin, while gearbox is French (SAXO !). If BMW did the whole development, there wouldn't be a SINGLE foreign part in the car.. |
Blikopener: I stand corrected. I dont know these cars that much, VW/Audi is my game. I do know though, that the 1.6 engine is a cooperation with Chrysler, the same 1.6 is also found in the Chrysler Neon. The diesel is a Toyota unit.

VW/Audi/SEAT is also my favo brand.
We also try to race those Mini"s wich aint a real succes till now  The engine's don't last a 100.000 km. |
