By the way Roy, sorry for polluting your thread with my questions
Following will be my set up based on my current knowledge about the transfer. Let me know if there's something else to adjust or add. - RS ECU, immobilizer to be deactivated by a tuner
- RS wire loom, will replace current or be integrated
- RS Coolent Radiator and fans
- Already have a big aftermarket 2.0 FSI Intercooler that I will use in the beginning
- Wilco informed me that the 2.0 FSI manual gearboxes will fit the 2.5 FSI engine. Flywheel will need to be modified as the 2.5 crank has a 8 bolt pattern and the 2.0 FSI has a 6 bolt pattern. My Sachs SMF will be modified and later on when I go ahead and AWD convert I'll change gearbox to something else. Thus I will not need any RS axle shafts to start with
- RS LPFP and fuel filter, not sure if the fuel filter is different
- RS engine side mounts. I assume the dogbone engine mount is identical to the RS
Now I have to find a descent price, any advice from anyone? I've seen CEPA engines complete without gearbox at 5500 - 6000€ on Ebay.de and Ebay.pl. Usually they are from crashed cars and advertised at 30000km
I think your car will suite in grey. I used plastidip on my car, cannot recommend it but it looks good.
