There was only one rim that could go on this car! American Racing Salt Flats with grey centers were my choice. The front ones should be 15" high, the rears 16". Still at the Rust Box we measured the width and rear spacing of the rims. I ordered the rims at I tire shop in LA I always went to and trusted until then. I ordered 6x15" and 7x16" Salt Flats in 4 3/4" Chevy pattern and for the Stripper project 2 7x15" Salt Flats and 2 Team 3 ET´s also in Chevy pattern. When the bus and rims came to The Bug Box I explored that all 8 rims were in 4 1/2" Ford lug pattern! This is the same as if you ordered rims for a T2 bus at a german tire shop and get rims in Opel pattern! I had no choice and ordered another 4 rims via air freight! Perfect!
