Sinterklaas is the OG Santa.... before CocaCola re-invented him.

it's like alot of US traditions... brought to the US by more then one group of imigrants and they mixed together...
1 group celebrates Jesus on December 25th one group celebrates Saint Nicolas on december 5th.... in the US that got mixed to celebrating Jesus by letting Santa bring presents....

same with sports...

1 group wanted to play football 1 group wanted to play rugby... after a few games they decided to dress up as pussies, play rugby and call it football....
