I've been a Beetle nut literally since I could talk, I was born in a blue '73, and cried the day my dad sold it (when I was 3). In grade 1 at age 6, the ravenna green '74 Beetle across the road from my school (that I used to stare at during recess), had a for sale sign on it, so I pretended I wasn't feeling well so I could call my dad and tell him it was for sale... 20 years later he still has the car, too.
