Snelheidsmeter Golf 2 oranje markeringstekens

Wat/waarvoor zijn de oranje markeringstekens (l, ll, lll, llll) op de snelheidsmeter?
The internets gaf geen uitsluitsel.
Zal wel schakelen zijn. Maar dan rij je wel heel erg sportief.

Volgens mij zijn dat de maximale snelheden in de diverse versnellingen: ga je harder gaat 'ie stuk .;-)
