Default Nice drive Home

So I drove home for the easterweekend (live in Germany nowadays, Holland is what I call home) and got me a company-car to get me there.

A Touareg V10 TDI, turns the German "Autobahn" into a gigantic playground

what a monster,. I mean it. Hidious..

I saw the engine at the essen motorshow last year. It's got rocker followers instead of hydrolic tappers..

when I asked about this old fashion way of valve opening, they first stayed ' silent ' after such a tech question, but afterwards, a tech guy told me: bla bla, no need of valve-clearance adjustment due to new materials, bla bla,. I said: yeah right.. he said: and it's cheaper to. You won't hear the ticking of (worn out) followers, cuz it's a diesel engine..

But like mister clarson said: If you have to tow large trees out of the forrest: Buy a Touareq. If you don't.... don't.

I think the pheaton or even a nicely over powerred Passat would have given you a nice ride to.., only with less view :-)

I also drove the Phaeton V10 a few weeks ago.
Its certainly a better drive then a Touareg, but they can punish me anytime a day with a Touareg ride

As Christiaan stated earlier: Im still a student. Right now Im studying to get my Bacholar Degree in Automotive Engineering. During this study I have an Internship and a Final Project, both for a half year each.
I wrote a letter to VW Motorsport and got the Internship. Nowadays Im occupied with designing engine parts for various projects. This Internship continues untill June. In August I will start my final project, again something to do with Motorsports, but not at Volkswagen. Preferably with a small racing team, but nothing is certain yet.
