Old auto gearbox, new engine

Whatsup guys.
I just bought a mk2 Jetta 1.6 auto.
Looking to swap subframe and engine fron a mk3 Golf with ABS 1.8L engine.
Does anyone know if the transmission from the 1.6 (enginecode RF) bolts up to the 1.8 engine? Will the converter also bolt on?

yes it will fit the gearboxes from 1.6 and 1.8 are interchangeable because they are both the same block only the crankshaft in the 1.6 has a smaller stroke hence the 1600 :D
