Hey guys...

wasn't on here for a longer time...

Maybe you are interested... I'm not just working on my real Jetta... at the moment I'm building a modelcar of it based on the Golf MK2 G60 from OTTO models from france... it is a limited resin model (just 1500) but that's not interesting for me, because I want to have my own Jetta as model...

All you see here is absolutly selfmade by me ;)

Base was something like this (but without ATS Cup wheels):

http://lh5.ggpht.com/_yR4QyalkSjs/TJof9vAkLZI/AAAAAAAAGmA/BZzEgrM-elU/s800/CIMG9137.JPG

And that's my project:

I cut away the back of the golf and molded a completely new one... also I cut away the big bumpers to make a new frontend for the smaller ones.

At the moment I'm finishing the last details like the rear lights (will be clear in the end for sure) and I'm building a Rallye Frontend...

I'm planning to make an kit of this model so anyone who is interested could buy one... available with small or big bumpers, with the Heckblende or not, with Rallye Frontend oder Jetta Frontend...

Also I could build a copy of your own Jetta if you like... feel free to contact me if you are interested...

perfect!!, i'm guessing you're gonna take a mold from the finished model.
Will you be offering the resin's as a kit or as a finished model? cause i might be interested in a kit depending on the price offcourse.

I will offer it as kit as well as completely built model... when I build it for you nearly everything is possible to rebuild your jetta ;)

Don't know exactly how much it will be but I think the price for the resin kit will be between 150 € and 200 €

And some news for today:

Don't know how many hours I spent now... but this project took a lot of time... I began based on a MK1 Golf two years ago because there was nothing else at this time.

Then the MK2 came out and I started completely new.

By the way, how did you make that new rear end? I see you first used clay to get the shape, but how did you go from clay to metal?

If you want, you can explain it to me in German, if that's easier. Just using English since it's the international forums. ;)

Holy shit dude! That's awesome! :wow:

That's cool, really would've thought it's made of metal.

Makes me want to try and do something similar. Be it only to find out it's harder than it looks and appreciate your work even more. :D

Can you translate the German for me then because now i dont understand it

I can try... hope my English is ok...

"If you understand German, too I can also describe it this way.

At the whole model there is nothing made from metal. The clay is colored with some aluminium powder. It`s more strong then and I can see little dents and other things better.

I sculped it with the Dremel and several moldings some files and the banana files for naildesign... they work perfectly for me :P

Also I use normal sanding paper or carve some details out with a knife.

It`s difficoult to explain how I do that because most times I for myself don`t exactly know what I do there... it comes while I work on the model... at first nothing seems to look like it should. But somehow it gets like I want it to :D "

So now it`s in English :P

I use normal resin... the light yellow ore beige one... for some time I used resin mixxed up with aluminium powder to make it stronger...

But it`s quite flexible ;)
