While Opel only wanted us to know the name of its new Fiat 500-rival and almost nothing about the styling, a reader of the Spanish website Autofacil had other plans capturing the new Adam city car without a single trace of camouflage at a photo shoot in the village of Miñano in Spain.

As you can see in the photos, there were four cars, each sporting a different two-tone color theme as a testament to the broad customization options that will be available when the Adam goes on sale as an Opel in mainland Europe and as a Vauxhall in the UK early next year.

From the pictures we see that the Adam has a distinct styling with some of design elements that stand out including the curved rear window, the prominent grille incorporated in the bumper and the pronounced rear fenders.

Opel has already told us that the Adam measures 3.70m (145.7 inches) in length, which makes it about 154mm (6 inches) longer than the Fiat 500 and about the same size as the Mini three-door hatchback, both of which should be considered as its main opponents.

We still don't have details on the engine range but expect to see a core lineup of small displacement three-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines at launch.

The Adam will receive its world premiere at the upcoming Paris Motor Show.
