thank you for that pic pauly!

more hard work needed to be done since i think the bay needs more attention!

i fabbed up this pipe from 316 stainless steel at work and rerouted the coolant hoses

much better!

i always hatet the look of the boost pipe across the bay so i rerouted that too

came a little close to the battery cable so i added some protecton to it...

bay looks much cleaner now

also throw out some black hoses and swapped some more blue silicone in but its to little to show for now. next week i am going to exploit the stores for fitting hoses to get each and every black hose out of there

hello guys!

made it safely back the 2000km from bergen to berlin, took the same route i took with pauly.
the car ran like a champ all the way and i had zero problems
i only used 3x37lters of fuel to cover the distance, i was surprised
the car is at the shop again:
mount the dash
repaint the engine bay
mount scirocco radiator with twin spal fans
reduce the vac system
relocate the viper fluid container
braided stainless steel fuel lines with AN fittings
some small other things to clean the bay more

we will see how much this is gonna cost again

As said on Golf1.info: Very nice shifter (did you paint it or has it got the colour of the car by coincidence ??)

so the shop sended me some pics of the repainted engine bay and front mask/core support, you will eventually notice the frame horn plates that have been welded in.

i didnt want to have the notch taken out since my airfilter is in that area, just in case you wonder..
i also ordered some new highly customized strut mounts but i am unshure if they will arrive before we leave to the see..

anyway here the pics
